May 31 ... Humbly Come To Him

Looking away to Jesus,

Who is the Leader and Source of our faith

and is also its Finisher,

bringing it to maturity and perfection.

Hebrews 12:2

Maturity is walking in humility,

seeing ourselves as servants,

seeing ourselves as weak.

Being able to admit we're nothing

is security in Him.

Humility is great maturity,

seeing our total lack,

admitting our great need;

knowing only by His grace

do we grow in Him.

We can humbly call on Him.

He will come and fill us up,

and each time, He fills us more,

we'll be more complete.

For He is that Author and Finisher

of our faith!
