In Joshua's day
when he circumcised
all the males who came out of the wilderness,
They called the place the rolling away,
for the reproach of Egypt upon them was over.
The sign that was theirs
in the flesh back then,
is ours in our hearts today.
The sin and old self
to be cut away,
and the bondage and fear
to be rolled back forever.
We thank you, O Father,
for Your glorious plan
and the vivid reminder we have
of Your wonderful power
to heal and forgive,
and to create for us
a clean heart and life,
and to fill us with joy overflowing!
