Thus says the high and lofty One...
I dwell in the high and holy place...
to revive the spirit of the humble and revive
the heart of the contrite.
Isaiah 57:15
The kind of uplifting that we should desire
is not of our place or position,
but only the lifting of our spirits and souls
to be drawn into closer communion.
Becoming more like Him in humility,
giving up our selfishness,
raised to the heavenlies
in thought and reactions,
becoming conformed to His holy will.
Exalted, revived and renewed in our hearts,
encouraged because of His presence within,
seeing that united heart He has promised
to those who will come
in alignment with Him.
Not being resisted because of our pride,
as His enemy not as a friend,
and not resisting His laws and ways,
but yielding, submitting,
and finding His grace,
and having our hearts raised up to a place
above the world with its cares and its strife
into a heavenly, glorious life!
