August 6 ... Follow His Lead

It is good for me to draw near to God;

I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge,

that I may tell of all Your works.

Psalm 73:28

I would rather skip

through green grassy hills

than climb up a dry mountain.

My preference would be

to rest at ease

on a lake than swim upstream.

At times I am tempted 

to lie in my bed

rather than rise up to meet You.

But I desire to do anything

that brings me closer to You,

conforming to Your Word,

molding to Your will.

Please open my eyes, Lord;

show the path,

and may I walk Your way.
