It was God in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world
to favor with Himself...
II Corinthians 5:19
Our covenant with Him is by sacrifice,
the giving up of our very lives,
that He might live His life through us;
the way to reach the world now is
by full dependence on the Lord.
He's calling us to come and die,
the old man's flesh to crucify,
that through His reconciling power,
we may be raised to life.
The new covenant was sealed with blood;
that sacrifice He made,
and now we take the cross and follow Him.
Not dying in the physical,
but in the inner man,
that natural man renewed
by being born again.
And we will now as kings of old,
walk with Him with all our souls,
holding true the covenant,
loving Him with our whole hearts!
