August 1 ... Come, Follow His Call

In the revelation stages
             of the purification process,
Our hearts are pricked but enlightened.
Our souls are purged but revived.
Our minds are stunned but renewed;
             and we're excited at the faithfulness of our Father,
             and we're hopeful at the changes to come.

But walking in that revelation
             is another story.
The day-to-day, one step after another,
             listening to that still small voice saying, 'walk this way',
             shunning all other voices which may tempt and sway,
             tapping in to His great strength,
             tuning in to Godly wisdom,
             changing all old habit patterns,
             seeing how very short we've fallen.

We must know it is a process, a lifelong growing up,
             not an overnight success, 
             but learning daily, 
             conforming hourly
             to the path He's showing us...
