June 25 ... Trust Him

After all, what kind of glory is there in it
if when you do wrong and suffer for it, you take it patiently?
But if you bear patiently with suffering when you do right
and that is undeserved, it is acceptable to God.
I Peter 2:20

Jesus was willing to be misunderstood
in order that God's will be done.

He knows what must be done in us
to work His perfect purposes.

And, if we misunderstand His dealings,
He's faithful to continue the work!

We are often misunderstood
by our leaders and our friends,
and by unbelievers.

But we need to learn to walk
where He's leading us,
not to waver, or to flinch
from that chosen path.

He's been tempted as we are
to defend ourselves.
Meet Him in the morning hours.
Draw upon His strength and power.
Trust the One Who judges fairly.
Trust the Shepherd of your soul!
