The humble shall see it and be glad;
you who seek after God,

As we are seeking to draw near to Him,
becoming more like Him each day,
walking with hearts that desire to see,
humility growing in our lives and ways.
Why do we resist the tools He would use?
Finding it hard to receive,
becoming hurt and defensive instead,
not having faith enough to believe
that it's His hand.
He uses the people the closest to us
to bring us to our knees.
He wants us to come and fall upon Him,
call on His power to intercede
and give that inner strength.
Changes come as we see our need,
and these shine forth so blatantly
in our reactions to others.
We often feel they're our enemies,
but He has called them friends.
But, it's His power we call upon,
it's His mercy we cry for,
and it will be His mighty hand
that daily matures our character
and often it's through others.
