June 15 ... Surrender To The Captain

As Captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.

And Joshua fell on his face to the earth,

and worshiped...

Joshua 5:14

It wasn't just the people who circled Jericho.

The presence of the Lord their God was in the lead!

The ark announced with trumpet sound;

at daybreak they rose to march around

not only once, but seven times

they followed close instruction.

And when the perfect time had come,

the shout went up

and the wall came down!

We must remember it was God's idea.

They didn't conquer on their own.

The power and presence of Jesus our Lord

is what causes the walls

in our lives to fall down.

Let's follow the path and purpose He has.

Let's march and shout and obey.

For with Jesus our Captain as Leader and Guide,

we will gain the land

and His name will be praised!
