January 2 ... Awake With The Dawn

Awake, my glory, my inner self;

Awake harp and lyre;

I will awake right early,

I will awake the dawn!

Psalm 57:8

My heart is fixed, my Lord.

            I will awake with the dawn;

As the watchman sings and lifts his voice,

            so will I sing to You!

Awake my inner self,

            bask in His presence.

The hungry shall taste of Him;

            the thirsty shall drink

                        of the River of Life.

Early in the morning will I seek Thee,

            for You are that Fountain of Life.

                         Your presence satisfies!
