... And Jesus said to him, "Follow Me."
So he left all, rose up, and followed Him.
Luke 5:27-28
When He calls, what do you do?
Rise and flee like Jonah
to the farthest point you can
from where the call instructed you to go;
escaping either physically
or only in your mind,
to a place you think will be
a place where peace you'll find?
Or do you come like James and John
hearing and heeding the call;
rising to follow immediately,
leaving all the past behind,
giving Him your all;
coming to that place in Him
where true peace and life begin.
Know that He will gently lead
and we can choose to follow
or we can kick against the goad
and discipline's the outcome.
He's a loving Father
doing what is good.
Come and listen, heed His call,
follow where He leads you.
