April 11 ... Heed His Call

Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

to the house of the God of Jacob;

that He may teach us His ways

and that we may walk in His paths.

Isaiah 2:3

So many kings of Israel

                               who truly worshiped God,

Did what was right in the Lord's sight

                               except for the high places.

They kept the heathen sacrifice,

                               the altars and the pillars.

They still burned incense to the gods

                               of those who knew not the One Lord.

They did not put their trust in God,

                               but looked unto their idols.

He's calling us to leave those places

                               and to look to Him alone,

Calling on His mighty power,

                               knowing He's the only One

Who hears and sees and knows our needs,

                               Who comes in us to dwell.

So come cast down your worthless idols.

                              Walk with Him up to Mt. Zion.

Rise above the world's possessions.

                              Come and find Reality!
