May 9 ... Give Him Place

To give unto them beauty for ashes,

the oil of joy for mourning,

the garment of praise

for the spirit of heaviness.

Isaiah 61:3

As we crucify our flesh,

                there's more place

                to be open for Him,

                with His fruits of

                                  love and gentleness,

                                  meekness and faith.

As we pour out ourselves,

                there's more space

                to be filled by Him

                with His righteousness,

                                  with His holiness,

                                  with His joy and peace.

As we yield up to the Spirit,

                our failing spirit He'll replace

                                   with His beauty

                                   and His praise,

                                   His anointing and His grace!
