I appear to you...by the mercies of God,
to present yourselves as a living sacrifice,
holy and acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service.

Let Him consume your very heart
as you commune with Him.
Let His fire cleanse you through
in purging out the sin.
May your life be sacrificed
on His loving altar.
Cleansing, purging, sacrificing
that is where we must begin,
for all things must pass away
as He brings the new again.
Let Him come and see your soul,
and he will consume you.
