Oh, Lord ~ We come to You
with so many hurts and sorrows.
Our past so filled with disappointment,
so racked by fears and grief.
We bear the scars in wounded hearts
of friends' and parents' failings.
For even with the best of these
we know of void and pain.
Oh, Jesus ~ You were there with us
from the very start.
You have known and made us
from Your very heart.
Heal our wounded spirits,
free us from the past.
Cut the cords that bind us,
make us whole in You at last.
