April 27 ... Wonder At The Father's Plan

Let Your work and the signs of Your power,
be revealed to Your servants, and Your
glorious majesty to their children.
Psalm 90:16

No trial or temptation
that we encounter or endure
is unusual or uncommon
to all men upon the earth.

Many snares will satan set,
but we can know and be on guard;
we can be aware and watchful
see his tactics; be prepared,
taking power and authority,
for the victory is ours.

On the other hand, see the Father
and the wonders He has planned!
Eye has not seen,
nor ear heard,
nor have we imagined
all that He's prepared
for those of us who love Him!

April 26 ... Yield To His Words

And I will put my spirit with you
and cause you to walk in My statutes,
and you shall heed My ordinances
and do them.
Ezekiel 36:27

I desire to be flexible,
molding to Your plan,
conforming to Your will.

Not set on having my own way,
opposing plans for change
or hardening my heart.

Soften up this heart of mine.
O Jesus, You're the One
Who can bring the truth to light,
driving the point home.

Your Word pricks and it reveals
the stubbornness and pride.
Show me where I am not yielded;
stir the lees,
that I might see
Your plans and change of heart for me.

April 25 ... Draw On His Wisdom

Man's steps are ordered by the Lord;
how can a man then understand his way?
Proverbs 20:24

Only as I depend on Jesus,
will I find His perfect peace.
If I walk in my own wisdom,
there will only be frustration,
for I have none.

When I speculate, worry and strive
with situations in my life,
joy ceases,
confusion comes,
and the whole load's on me.

He has come to take our burdens,
come to take the load.
He knows all and gives the wisdom
and the guidance we desperately need
for each and every circumstance.

April 24 ... Worship By Obedience

For God has not called us to impurity,
but to consecration and holiness.
I Thessalonians 4:7

Worship the Lord
in the beauty of holiness.
Worship the Lord
with lives yielded to Him.
Bring glory and honor to His Holy Name
by living in righteousness,
giving up sin.

For He is the Holy One.
He is our King.
His lovingkindness and glorious grace
are surely sufficient for me.

Worship the Lord in holy obedience,
making Him truly the Master of all.
Worship the Lord
as you walk on the path of His love.

April 23 ... Let Go

It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord
than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8

If I try to help You out,
O God of my salvation,
Thinking I can plan the way
or cleverly manipulate...

May I heed Your warnings.
May I stop my schemings.
May I wait and follow You
with my whole heart!

Did King David run ahead
of what You'd planned to be?
Bathsheba was to be his wife
but not in David's way?
If he'd waited on the Lord,
Uriah would have died.
And David would have taken her
in holiness to be his bride?

O, may I never run ahead,
for You're my Lord and King.
And in Your wisdom, You alone
can plan the way for everything.

April 22 ... Show Forth Jesus

And so for their sake and on their behalf
I sanctify Myself,
that they also may be sanctified,
dedicated and consecrated in truth.
John 17:19

Sanctify my heart, O Jesus,
                                     by Yourself,
                                     by Your Word,
                                     by Your Truth.

I desire purity
                 in my mind,
                 in my heart,
                 in my life.

To be usable to You,
Sent out to the world
                 as a word,
                 as a light,
                 as an example
                                     of Your life.

April 21 ... Come To The Holy Place

Of the glorious splendor of Your majesty
and of Your wondrous works,
I will meditate.
Psalm 145:5

From the Holy Place
We see God ~ Awe inspiring God!

From the Holy Place
We receive the strength He gives.

From our time with Him,
confession of our sin
is a result.
For we receive glimpses of God Almighty!
All glorious and praised,
a Name exalted above all names
from everlasting unto everlasting.

From this place of brokenness,
we worship at His feet.

He is Lord, and Lord alone!
Creator of heaven and earth.
Wondrous are His ways!
Miraculous is this time
of coming to
the Holy Place.
